Government's climate package: No oil heating ban
The uncertainty caused by the federal government's climate package has been clearly felt among oil heating owners in recent weeks. There is currently no need to worry. Existing oil heating systems may continue to be operated beyond the year 2026. New oil heating systems may continue to be installed until 2026 without any conditions, and from 2026, for example, in combination with a solar system. Replacement of plastic tanks after 30 years!
Attention with single-walled PE plastic battery tanks! Single-walled PE plastic battery tank systems that have been "under their belt" for more than 15 years should be checked regularly by the operator for deformations, bulges or warped connecting lines. If your system shows deformations, this is a clear indication that the tank system has to be taken out. According to the recommendation of the tank manufacturer, plastic battery tank systems must be replaced after 30 years at the latest, as their service life reaches 30 years and the safety of the system is no longer guaranteed. 04/18/2017: Ordinance on systems for handling substances hazardous to water (AwSV)
On April 18, 2017, the new ordinance on systems for handling substances hazardous to water (AwSV) came into force. Among other things, all legal regulations for specialist companies and operators of oil heating systems are precisely regulated therein. Work on oil tank systems may only be carried out by WHG specialist companies.
